As part of the ongoing ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2025’ campaign, a cleanliness drive was recently conducted at the Govt. Middle School, Sippighat, under Gram Panchayat Sippighat. The initiative aimed to promote hygiene, sanitation, and collective responsibility among students and the local community.

Around 60 participants, including school staff, students, Panchayat representatives, and local residents, actively participated in cleaning the school premises and surrounding areas, creating a healthier and more hygienic environment for the students.

The drive highlighted the importance of sanitation in educational institutions and encouraged children to adopt cleanliness as a way of life. The event also reflected the community’s united efforts to support the nationwide cleanliness movement.

The ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2025’ campaign is being observed across the Union Territory from 17th September to 2nd October, 2025, with active participation at State, Block, and Panchayat levels. The initiative upholds the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, who emphasized that cleanliness is essential for a progressive and healthy society.
