In a move to strengthen patient safety and awareness, the Clinical Research Unit (Homoeopathy) organized a Pharmacovigilance Program at the Health and Wellness Center, Jirkatang, under PHC Ferrargunj on Thursday.
The session was spearheaded by Dr. Namita Gopal, Junior Research Fellow (Homoeopathy), an expert in pharmacovigilance, along with Dr. Farheen, Senior Research Fellow (Homoeopathy), both representing the Clinical Research Unit (H).
Addressing participants, Dr. Namita Gopal highlighted the vital importance of pharmacovigilance in identifying, assessing, and preventing Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and other drug-related issues. Dr. Farheen concluded the session by stressing the need for collaborative monitoring and effective management of suspected ADRs.
The program was held in association with the Medical Officer In-Charge and the Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) of PHC Ferrargunj.
Following the awareness session, a Health Camp was also organized at the venue, aiming to promote overall community wellness and ensure better healthcare outreach.
