Director General of the Indian Coast Guard, Paramesh Sivamani, AVSM, PTM, TM, is on an official visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As part of his itinerary, he called on Admiral DK Joshi (Retd.), PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vice-Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, at Raj Niwas on 6th May 2025.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed key matters concerning the Indian Coast Guard and the A&N Coast Guard Region. The discussions focused on force augmentation, infrastructure development plans, and strategies to enhance coastal security across the strategically significant island territory.
The visit underscores the continued emphasis on strengthening maritime vigilance and ensuring the safety of the nation’s eastern seaboard.
