In a concerted effort to advocate for sustainable tourism and preserve the coastal ecosystem, TSG Hotels & Resorts spearheaded a Coastal Cleanup Drive at Marina Park, Port Blair on Tuesday morning.

Approximately 50 volunteers from TSG Emerald View Hotel & TSG Grand Hotel joined hands in the initiative, donning gloves and armed with determination to tackle the litter plaguing the picturesque shoreline.

The enthusiastic team diligently scoured the area, filling up a total of 9 bags with discarded debris, ranging from abandoned nylon nets to plastic bottles and bags. Amidst their cleanup efforts, they also took the opportunity to educate park-goers on the importance of responsible waste disposal and the significance of maintaining clean coastal areas.

The event, aimed at fostering a sense of environmental stewardship within the local community, emphasised the crucial role individuals play in preserving the natural beauty of Andaman’s beaches and protecting marine biodiversity.

As a testament to their commitment, the staff of TSG Hotels & Resorts took a solemn pledge to safeguard the ocean and its inhabitants.

“Cleaning the beach is a modest yet impactful way of giving back to the Earth and ensuring that future generations can enjoy cleaner, healthier surroundings,” remarked Mr. Chiranjit Das, Corporate General Manager of TSG Hotels & Resorts. “I am proud to be part of this meaningful initiative by TSG Hotels & Resorts.”
