The fare for vessels operated by the Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) in the Mainland–Island, Inter-Island, Foreshore and Harbour Ferry sectors has been revised for the financial year 2026–27, continuing the annual practice followed in previous years.
The revised fares will come into effect from April 1, 2026.
In the Harbour Sector, the one-way passenger fare on Sri Vijaya Puram–Rural South Andaman routes has been increased by ₹1. The revised fare for travel between Chatham and Bambooflat is ₹16; Chatham and Dundus Point ₹16; Chatham and Viper Island ₹16 (Non-Islanders: ₹125); Phoenix Bay Jetty and Bambooflat ₹16; and Phoenix Bay Jetty and Panighat ₹16.
At present, the fare on all the above-mentioned routes is ₹15, while non-islanders travelling between Chatham and Viper Island are charged ₹115.
The monthly pass for regular passengers in the harbour ferry sectors of Chatham–Bambooflat, Chatham–Dundus Point, Phoenix Bay Jetty–Bambooflat, and Phoenix Bay Jetty–Panighat has been fixed at ₹210. For students, the monthly pass will cost ₹75; for senior citizens ₹90; while Divyang passengers will be provided the pass free of cost. The monthly pass for two-wheelers on routes where vehicle ferries operate between Sri Vijaya Puram and rural South Andaman will cost ₹540.
For vehicles, the one-way fares across all routes between Sri Vijaya Puram and Rural South Andaman and the ATR route will be as follows: Two-wheelers ₹65; Three-wheelers ₹100; Three-wheelers with load (Cargo Auto) ₹210; Four-wheelers/Light Vehicles without load ₹190; Four-wheelers/Light Vehicles with load ₹510; Bulldozer/Hitachi/Road Roller ₹2,160; Hitachi with Truck ₹2,160; Heavy Vehicles without load (Truck/Minibus/Bus/407/Tempo etc.) ₹375; and Heavy Vehicles with load (Truck/Minibus/Bus/407/Tempo etc.) ₹920.
At present, two-wheelers pay ₹60 on all routes between Sri Vijaya Puram and Rural South Andaman.
All fares mentioned are exclusive of taxes and port charges.
