Directions were issued for demand side management of electricity for optimal utilisation of available power and to avoid load shedding.
In continuation to the directions issued regarding ‘Demand Side Management’ of Electricity prepared to ensure Optimal Utilization of available power to avoid rotational load shedding’ published on 15th March 2023, it has been notified for the information of all Commercial Shops/Units in Port Blair and adjoining areas of South Andaman that they can continue to run their shops and units either by using their own standby DG sets or through Inverters beyond 1900 hrs.
The direction issued for demand side management of electricity is a temporary arrangement until the completion of the ongoing Secondary and Senior Secondary Board Exams to avoid rotational load shedding.
