The Congress Party has expressed profound grief over the passing of Sahadev Dey, the dedicated founder and reporter of News Republic Andaman, who breathed his last in Diglipur.
Dey, known for his unwavering commitment to truthful journalism, was a respected figure in the local media landscape. Through years of dedicated reporting, he earned the trust of the community, particularly in the Diglipur region, becoming a voice for the people and a pillar of integrity in regional journalism.
In a condolence message, the Congress Party described his demise as a significant loss to both the journalistic fraternity and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. “Sahadev Dey’s contributions to society through honest reporting and his service to the people will always be remembered,” the statement read.
The party extended its heartfelt condolences to Dey’s family, friends, and colleagues, standing in solidarity with them during this time of mourning. “We pray for strength and peace to those grieving this irreparable loss,” the statement added.
