A couple reportedly from Bengaluru were found dead in their hotel room at Hornbill Nest Resort in Port Blair on 03rd March 2023.
As per sources, the couple checked in at Hornbill Nest Resort on 21st February 2023 and were due to check out on 03rd March 2023 at around 09 Am.
When the couple did not turn up for checkout, the Manager on duty tried calling them on Intercom and on their mobile numbers. When the Manager did not receive any response from the couple, he went to their room with the master key. After getting no response, the Manager opened the hotel room with the master key and found the couple dead.
Mr. Yug Singh Rathore was found hanging from the ceiling fan, and Ms. Priyanka Singh was lying on the bed.
The Manager called the Police, and the male and female guests were sent to G.B Pant Hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
According to sources, the couple was friendly with the staff and did not arouse any suspicion.
It is still unclear whether both deaths were the result of suicide. Further details are awaited.
Hornbill Nest Resort is located near Corbyns Cove Beach and is operated by Andaman and Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited (ANIIDCO Ltd.).
