COVID-19 Updates for Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands have seen a dip in the COVID-19 cases and the situation in the Islands is coming back to normal. The Islands have witnessed 4604 cases of COVID-19 from the start, out of which 4398 patients have successfully recovered so far. 61 deaths have also been recorded due to COVID-19 in the Islands from the start.

Currently there are 145 active cases of COVID-19 in the Islands. Recently 11 new cases COVID-19 cases were detected in the Islands. Out of the 11 new cases, 5 cases were contact cases and 6 cases were found to be of those arriving by flights at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. 

The Islands are on the path of achieving zero COVID-19 cases and A & N Administration is seriously and professionally managing the COVID-19 situation in the Islands.

The Islanders need to follow the two golden principle’s of maintaining social distancing and wearing of face covers at all times in public, to free the Islands from the menace of this deadly pandemic which has already cost the Islanders 61 lives and much in terms of the economy.
