The Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI (M), has called upon the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to promptly issue appointment orders to all candidates who were selected based on recent recruitment exams conducted by various government departments.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, D. Ayyappan, Secretary of the CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee, expressed concern over the delay in issuing appointment orders to candidates who had successfully completed the selection process. Several departments under the Andaman & Nicobar Administration and the Recruitment Cell of the Secretariat had organised written tests to fill various positions over the past few months. The results of these examinations have also been publicly announced.
However, according to Ayyappan, despite the completion of the selection process, none of the concerned departments have issued appointment orders to the selected candidates. This delay has left individuals who were chosen for positions such as LGC, Stenographer, Junior Engineer in APWD, among others, in a state of anticipation and uncertainty.
In his letter to the Chief Secretary, Ayyappan emphasised that there was no justifiable reason for the delay in appointing the selected candidates. He urged the Chief Secretary to direct the relevant authorities to issue appointment orders without any further delay, thus providing much-needed clarity and relief to those awaiting their appointments.
