The race for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency (ANIPC) seat is gaining momentum as three candidates gear up to file their nominations today, March 26, 2024.
Mr. D Ayyappan, representing the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Mr. Manoj Paul from the Andaman Nicobar Democratic Congress, and Dr. Arun Mallik of the Bahujan Samaj Party are all poised to officially enter the electoral fray by submitting their nomination papers.
As of March 25, 2024, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, stands as the sole nominee to have filed for the ANIPC seat, setting the stage for a competitive electoral battle.
Looking ahead, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, representing the Indian National Congress (INC), is scheduled to file his nomination on March 27, 2024, adding further diversity to the field of candidates.
Additionally, Mr. V K Abdul Aziz, the candidate for the Andaman and Nicobar Janta Party, will also submit his nomination papers on the same day.
March 27, 2024, marks the deadline for filing nominations for the ANIPC seat, setting the stage for a robust electoral contest as candidates vie for the opportunity to represent the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the parliament.
