The Composite Regional Centre (CRC) for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in partnership with the Social Welfare Department, is set to organize a series of Screening and Awareness Generation Camps for Divyangjans (Persons with Disabilities) in the North & Middle Andaman District.

These camps are part of an ongoing initiative aimed at distributing essential assistive devices under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme, as well as raising awareness about the various support services available to the disabled community. A dedicated team from CRC has been mobilized to ensure the smooth execution of these camps.

The camps are scheduled to take place at two locations: Rampur Panchayat in Mayabunder on September 10, 2024, and at GPOA Hall in Diglipur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on September 11, 2024. Beneficiaries who require assistive devices or wish to learn more about the ADIP Scheme are encouraged to attend these camps at their respective locations.

This initiative is designed to ensure that those in need of support can easily access the necessary resources and services. Individuals with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers, are urged to attend the screening camp at Mayabunder, bringing along essential documents such as two photographs, a copy of their Aadhaar card, a UDID (Unique Disability ID) card, and a BPL (Below Poverty Line) certificate if applicable.

For registration and further assistance, beneficiaries are advised to contact their local Anganwadi workers. Additional information can also be obtained by reaching out to the Rehabilitation Officer of CRC-A&N Islands at 7397764707, or the Lecturer in Physiotherapy at 9434299296.
