‘Cuisines of India Festival – 2025’ Concludes with Colourful Prize Distribution Ceremony at ITF Pavilion

The three-day ‘Cuisines of India Festival – 2025’, themed #DesiDelights, came to a vibrant conclusion on 6th July at the ITF Pavilion with a lively prize distribution ceremony. The event, organized by the Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Food Safety Department and other allied departments, celebrated the rich and diverse culinary heritage of India.

The closing ceremony saw Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Director of Tourism, as the chief guest. He felicitated the winners of the best food stalls, commending the participants for their creativity and the organisers for the seamless execution of the festival.

In his address, Mr. Chamadia appreciated the efforts of all departments involved and emphasized how such festivals strengthen cultural pride and community spirit. He further assured that the Administration would strive to host more such events throughout the year, both in peak and off-seasons, to bolster local tourism and promote traditional flavours.

Earlier, Ms. Priyanka Kumari, Director of Art & Culture, welcomed the gathering and expressed her delight at the overwhelming public response. She credited the festival’s success to the spirit of collaboration and thanked the people for their enthusiastic participation.

The festival featured a wide variety of regional dishes, drawing large crowds over its three-day run. The top three food stalls were awarded cash prizes during the ceremony.

–  First Prize (₹10,000): M/s Doiwala Sweets, School Line

  • Second Prize (₹8,000): M/s Calcutta Sweet Stall, Junglighat
  • Third Prize (₹5,000): M/s Icy Spicy, Junglighat

The event concluded on a high note, leaving attendees with a deeper appreciation of India’s culinary diversity and a hope for more such cultural feasts in the future. (Story Based on PR)
