The Tourism Department of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in collaboration with the Food Safety Department and other allied departments, is all set to host the much-anticipated ‘Cuisines of India Festival 2025’ from July 4 to 6 at the ITF Pavilion. The event will be open to the public from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM each day.

Organized as part of the ongoing series of cultural events, fairs, and festivals, this three-day extravaganza, themed #desidelights, promises a sensory journey through India’s rich culinary landscape. The festival will showcase an exciting fusion of regional flavours, traditional recipes, and indigenous food cultures, making it a treat for food lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike.

Visitors can look forward to a vibrant spread of Live Kitchen Stalls featuring delicacies prepared by State Associations, celebrated restaurants, local chefs, and hoteliers. Adding a unique flavour to the festival, the Nicobari Tribal Community will present Cultural Cuisine Showcases, offering rare insights into their traditional food practices.

In a bid to support and empower local entrepreneurship, the festival will also highlight women-led food ventures through Self-Help Group (SHG) stalls, spotlighting local culinary talent and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

To enhance the festive ambiance, live orchestra performances curated by the Department of Art & Culture will be held daily from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, creating a rich cultural backdrop for the culinary celebration.

In a move to encourage innovation and hygiene among budding culinary entrepreneurs, the Tourism Department will award cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹8,000, and ₹5,000 to the top three food stalls. Winners will be judged on creativity, presentation, cleanliness, and thematic décor.

The Tourism Department has extended an open invitation to residents, tourists, and food enthusiasts to immerse themselves in this unique celebration of India’s gastronomic diversity. With its blend of food, culture, and community spirit, the Cuisines of India Festival 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.
