Campbell Bay, 13 Dec 2020

The vehicles of the customers are not functioning normally and are exhibiting starting issue, even when the vehicle start, the engines are not producing power properly. The vehicles are exhibiting sudden powerlessness as if the fuel is not reaching the engines.

Customers have alleged that their vehicles are not functioning properly because of adulterated petrol being sold at the Indian Oil Corporation Retail Outlet at Campbell Bay. Nicobar Times will also investigate the issue by requesting a filter paper test of the petrol being sold at IOCL Retail Outlet, Campbell Bay, tomorrow morning.

“There is a high chance that the allegation of the customers is true and if that is the case, then IOCL and ANIDCO should replace the adulterated fuel of every customer and should also pay the charges for repairs and spares, for all vehicles which have developed issues because of using the petrol purchased from their retail outlet.” said an angry customer while speaking to Nicobar Times this evening.

Nicobar Times was not able to obtain a reaction from the officials of IOCL at Port Blair today. Update on this story will be published tomorrow with complete details after gathering more inputs.
