The Directorate of Transport will be organizing a daylong Road Safety Awareness Camp at Community Hall, Chouldari today (20th April 2023). During the camp, Transport Department will provide all its services at the doorsteps of the general public. The services can be availed by the local residents as well as the residents of the nearby Panchayats.
Beneficiaries for the proposed camp are expected to be the commercial vehicle owners (like Autorickshaws, Goods Vehicles, and Contract Carriages), personal vehicle owners, villagers of Chouldari & surrounding nearby villages/Panchayats, school students, aspiring drivers etc. All concerned Panchayats have also been given prior intimation for wider publicity in their jurisdiction. A grievance redressal mechanism will also be set up for addressing the concerns of the general public.
During the camp, various services will be extended to the general public viz. Conduct of Learners License Test (On the spot Learners License will be issued), Medical test for Learners License (with the support of the Health Department), Collection of Road Tax, Driving License Renewal, Duplicate Driving License, Change of Address in DL, Change of Photo in DL, Hypothecation termination from RC, Renewal of registration, NOC for Transfer of Vehicles, Collection of Fees for Vehicle Fitness renewal, Alteration of Vehicle, Re-application after fitness being failed, Mobile number update in RC and DL, Application for issue of New Permit for Commercial Vehicles, Application for Renewal of existing permits for Commercial Vehicles, Application for Conversion of Vehicles, Fitness Test of vehicles and Issue of ATR Bus Tickets & Bus Passes.
Apart from this, public grievances redressal and queries related to various procedures for obtaining a driving license and registration of vehicles will also be addressed.
