DBRAIT Hosts Advanced Pedagogy Training for Faculty and Staff

From May 7 to 17, 2024, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) organized a comprehensive two-week training program on Advanced Pedagogy for its faculty and staff. The program aimed to enhance teaching practices and equip educators with modern pedagogical tools and methodologies.

The training featured special sessions conducted by faculty members from the National Institute for Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR), Chennai. Topics covered included Digital Tools and Resources for Effective Teaching, Tools for Qualitative Assessment, Cultivating Critical Thinking and Creativity, Artificial Intelligence in Contemporary Education, Design Thinking for Enhancing Pedagogical Practices, Understanding Generation Z Learners, Reflective Teaching Practices, and Fostering Entrepreneurial Thinking in Engineering Pedagogy. The program also provided an in-depth understanding of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020) framework.

Key sessions were led by Dr. K.N. Shoba, Associate Professor, and Dr. Jakulin Divya Mary, Assistant Professor, both from NITTTR Chennai. They facilitated hands-on training sessions, allowing the 40 participating faculty and staff members to practice using advanced pedagogical techniques, including AI tools, in the teaching-learning and assessment processes.

The program concluded with a valedictory session, marking the end of an intensive period of learning and professional development for the participants.
