The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) organised an enriching site visit and add-on industrial training programme for second-year B.Tech Civil Engineering students, focusing on precast wall construction and sustainable civil engineering practices.

The programme was conducted under Odyssey Infrastructure – Bhusan Precast at an ongoing commercial construction site in Beodnabad Panchayat. It was aimed at bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-time industry practices by providing students with hands-on exposure to precast construction techniques, site execution methods, quality control measures, and environmentally sustainable construction practices.

Mr. Kingshuk Bala, an alumnus of B.Tech Civil Engineering and the resource person for the programme, shared his inspiring journey from student life to successful entrepreneurship. Having established his own precast manufacturing unit, he demonstrated practical aspects of site planning, precast wall installation, construction sequencing, and the use of sustainable materials. He also interacted with students, encouraging them to explore innovation and entrepreneurship in the civil engineering sector while highlighting the growing importance of sustainability in modern infrastructure development.

During the visit, students actively participated in discussions and observed live site activities, gaining valuable insights into industry-oriented skills, green construction concepts, and emerging trends in precast technology.

The programme was successfully organised and coordinated by Mr. Altamash Mustafa, Assistant Professor (Civil), Associate Dean, and Training & Placement Coordinator, DBRAIT. The initiative was widely appreciated by both students and faculty for its practical relevance and its contribution to career-oriented learning outcomes.
