DBRAIT Organises Red Ribbon Club Half Marathon and Health Awareness Camp

As part of its Red Ribbon Club activities, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) organised a 5 km “Red Race” half marathon from the institute campus to Attam Pahad to spread awareness on AIDS Control and Adult Education.

Prior to the marathon, an awareness session was conducted by Mr. Altamash Mustafa, Nodal Officer of the RRC Club and Assistant Professor (Civil), who sensitised the participants about the causes, modes of transmission, and preventive measures of HIV/AIDS.

A Health Screening Camp was also organised by Mr. Arup Kumar Roy, Deputy Director (Prevention), along with the Target Intervention Group of ANACS, where 71 students from the boys’ and girls’ hostels of DBRAIT underwent health check-ups.

Encouraging the students, Dr. Sanmukh Kaur, Principal, DBRAIT, motivated the youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and highlighted the importance of health and fitness for the younger generation.
