DC Leads ‘Sampark se Samadhan’ Grievance Redressal Camp at Uttara; 350 Participate

As part of the ongoing initiative “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore”, a public grievance redressal programme was conducted at the Panchayat Hall of Gram Panchayat, Uttara on February 19 under the chairmanship of Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman.

The programme was held in the presence of Mr. Deepanshu Vohra, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, along with Heads of Offices and PRI representatives. The initiative aims to strengthen service delivery at the grassroots level and ensure timely resolution of public grievances through direct interaction with citizens.

During the Revenue Camp Court held on the occasion, several cases pertaining to sub-division, name correction and mutation were taken up and disposed of. Around 350 participants, including PRI members, departmental heads and members of the general public, attended the camp, reflecting active community engagement in the initiative.

In the evening, the Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by the Assistant Commissioner and other departmental officials, visited remote areas of Kadamtala village, including Kataidera and Atterji. The team conducted field inspections and engaged in door-to-door interactions to assess issues related to drinking water supply, road connectivity, health services, education, electricity, civil supplies and other essential amenities.

Officials were directed to take immediate and time-bound action on grievances raised during the visit. Wherever feasible, on-the-spot solutions were provided to ensure prompt relief to residents.

Reiterating the Administration’s commitment to responsive, accessible and transparent governance, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized coordinated departmental action, proactive service delivery and sustained community engagement.

The District Administration has stated that the “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore” initiative will be expanded to cover the remaining villages of North & Middle Andaman to ensure that government services and grievance redressal mechanisms reach every household.
