The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (CS&CA) has extended the deadline for updating e-KYC for left-out Ration Card beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority Households (PHH) categories to January 31, 2025.

Despite repeated requests and extensive efforts, a significant number of beneficiaries are yet to update their e-KYC. The department has urged all AAY and PHH beneficiaries who have not yet completed the process to visit their nearest Fair Price Shop, the CS&CA Directorate at Sri Vijaya Puram (Room No. 20), or their respective Supply Units in the inter-islands with their Aadhaar numbers to ensure the e-KYC is completed for all members listed on the Ration Card.

Beneficiaries have been reminded that failure to update their e-KYC by the deadline will result in those members being marked as bogus, and appropriate action will be taken as per the rules.

The department has also highlighted that many children aged between 1 to 17 years have been unable to complete their e-KYC because their Aadhaar cards were issued before the age of five. Parents or guardians of such children are requested to update their Aadhaar details at the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. Assistance for Aadhaar updating is also available at the CS&CA Directorate.

The list of left-out beneficiaries is available at the respective Fair Price Shops for reference. For further details or assistance, beneficiaries can contact the department’s toll-free helpline at 03192-230337.

The department has urged all eligible beneficiaries to act promptly to avoid disruptions in receiving their entitlements.
