A delegation from the Tribal Council of Car Nicobar, led by Mr. John Levi, Deputy Vice Chief Captain, along with Mr. Manuah Thomas, Mr. Amin Moosa, and Mr. L. Davidson, Executive Members of the Council, met with Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, the newly appointed Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at his office on 10th December 2024.
During the meeting, the delegation extended their warm congratulations to Dr. Kumar on his new role and engaged in productive discussions about pressing issues related to the development of Car Nicobar Island. Key points included the need for collaborative efforts to tackle challenges faced by the local community, with a particular focus on enhancing infrastructure and essential services.
The Tribal Council also invited Dr. Kumar to visit Car Nicobar to gain firsthand insights into the region’s pressing needs and opportunities for fostering growth and development.
This meeting signifies a step in fostering stronger collaboration between the Tribal Council and the UT administration. It is seen as a promising move towards achieving inclusive and sustainable progress for Car Nicobar.
