As part of the ongoing Van Mahotsav 2025 celebrations, the Department of Science and Technology organised a Fruit Plant Sapling Programme at its office campus on 28th July 2025.
The event was graced by the Director of the Department, who participated as the chief guest and planted a fruit sapling to mark the occasion. In his brief address, the Director spoke about the significance of Van Mahotsav, tracing its historical background and underlining its core objectives. He emphasised the crucial role trees play in maintaining ecological balance and mitigating the effects of climate change.
Staff members of the Department actively participated in the programme, each contributing to the plantation drive and reaffirming their commitment to environmental sustainability. The event served as a meaningful step towards promoting green practices and raising awareness about the importance of tree plantation.
