The Department Related Parliamentary Committee on Industry is arriving on a two-day visit to A&N Islands on 10th November 2022. Soon after the arrival, the Committee will proceed to Swaraj Dweep. During their stay there, the Committee Members will hold a meeting with the Chief Secretary, A&N Islands and M/o MSME on the implementation of the PMEGP scheme in A&N Islands at Taj Exotica on Nov. 11.
Thereafter, the Committee Members will hold a meeting with representatives of SBI, Central Bank of India, UCO Bank, PNB, A&N State Co-operative Bank, M/o MSME, M/o Finance (DFS) and KVIC and review the performance of PMEGP scheme in A&N Islands.
The Committee Members are also scheduled to hold a meeting with the representatives of the Airports Authority of India, National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd, Engineers India Ltd., Indian Rare Earths Ltd., M/o MSME, M/o Civil Aviation, M/o Housing & Urban Affairs, M/o P& NG and Department of Atomic Energy on the implementation of 25% prescribed procurement from MSEs by PSEs under the Public Procurement Policy and Review of the release of payments to MSEs at the same venue on Nov. 11, 2022.
On completion of the visit, the Parliamentary Committee is scheduled to return to mainland on 12th November 2022.
