DGP Cup State Level League-cum-Knockout Cricket Tournament 2024 Announced by Andaman & Nicobar Police

In a bid to foster sporting enthusiasm and community engagement, the Andaman & Nicobar Police is set to host the much-anticipated DGP Cup State Level League-cum-Knockout Cricket Tournament. This exciting sporting event is scheduled to take place at Netaji Stadium in Port Blair and the Mahatma Gandhi International School in Brookshabad, Port Blair.

The tournament, slated to be a thrilling display of cricket prowess, beckons participation from interested departments or private youth clubs. To enter the competition, teams must submit a roster of 16 players and a team manager alongside the prescribed entry fee of Rs. 20,000 (Rupees Twenty Thousand only). The registration deadline has been firmly set for December 26, 2023, up to 1500 hrs.

Inspector Hari Narayan (9474244264), Sub-Inspector M.A. Rasheed (Mob.No.9679577788), or HC/633 V. Hentho (Mob.No.9933263549) at the Police line will be receiving the team entries. It’s imperative to note that no registrations will be entertained beyond the specified deadline.

Excitement mounts as the tournament offers an impressive array of prizes, motivating participants to bring their A-game to the field. The prize distribution is as follows:

1. Winner: Rs. 100,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) along with a prestigious trophy

2.  Runner-up: Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) alongside an esteemed trophy

3. Player of the tournament: Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) with a trophy

4. Best bowler: Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) and a trophy

5. Best Batsman: Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) accompanied by a trophy

6. Man of the Match for semi-finals: Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) and a trophy

7. Man of the Match for the Final: Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) and a trophy

Additionally, each match throughout the tournament will recognise a Man of the Match with trophy, further enhancing the competitive spirit among the participants.

The prize money allocation remains subject to potential alterations based on the number of participating teams in the tournament.
