District Industries Centre, Department of Industries, is dedicated to fostering the growth of MSMEs and assisting local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in expanding and accessing larger markets. The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), under the Ministry of MSME, supports businesses with marketing, technology, and credit solutions.

To make it easier for MSMEs to reach new customers, NSIC has developed a digital platform, www.msmemart.com. This B2B portal helps MSMEs showcase their products and services, receive tender alerts, discover franchise and subcontracting opportunities, and explore trade leads. It also connects businesses with global buyers and provides useful tools, including links to government schemes and business events.

Key features of the portal include an online digital presence for MSMEs, showcasing of products and services, keyword-based tender alerts, global tender notices, Award of Contract (AOC) updates, and facilities for submitting Enquiries and Requests for Quotations (RFQs). The portal also supports franchise opportunities, subcontracting, distribution offers, and trade leads, while offering special ICT solutions and links to government schemes, events, and exhibitions.

NSIC is now upgrading the portal to include State-Specific Pavilions. These will highlight local products, including unique district-specific items under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme and Geographical Indication (GI) tagged products. These virtual pavilions will serve as digital hubs to showcase state-specific business activities and core competencies, helping MSMEs connect with national and global markets.

To ensure the success of this initiative, the Department of Industries is committed to raising awareness and encouraging MSMEs to onboard the platform. MSMEs in the UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are urged to register on www.msmemart.com and take advantage of this platform to explore new business opportunities. This initiative will help businesses grow, create new opportunities, and strengthen the local economy.

For more information, entrepreneurs can visit the District Industries Centre at Udyog Parisar, Middle Point, or call 03192-232819/232601.
