DIET Garacharma’s Bharat Scouts and Guides Unit Organizes Trekking-Cum-Tour Activity

To promote environmental awareness and strengthen the connection between trainees and nature, the Bharat Scouts and Guides unit of Dr. S.R. DIET, Garacharma, recently organised a one-day Trekking-Cum-Tour Activity. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 59 trainees, accompanied by 11 Scout Masters, Guide Captains, and DIET faculty members.

The trekking event was flagged off by Mr. Pavan S. Pyati, Lecturer at DIET. Addressing the gathering, Scout Master C. James highlighted the importance of such activities in fostering environmental responsibility and physical well-being. A cultural program was also organized under the coordination of the Guide Captain.

The trekking route took participants through the scenic trail from Biological Park, Chidiyatapu, to the Munda Pahad viewpoint, offering them an opportunity to connect with nature and explore the rich biodiversity of the region. The event featured a series of activities, including a nature walk, trekking, bird watching, hiking path cleaning, and interactive nature talks. Participants observed various bird species in their natural habitat, deepening their understanding of biodiversity and ecological conservation.

During the closing ceremony, Scout Masters Mr. Murugesan and Mr. Nakul Dutta, along with Guide Captain Ms. Lalitha Rani Biswas, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering environmental stewardship and outdoor learning.

The event successfully instilled a sense of environmental responsibility among the trainees while providing them with a refreshing outdoor experience. (Story Based on PR)
