The Directorate of Industries, Andaman and Nicobar Administration in association with SBI- Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) organised a two weeks Entrepreneurship Development Training programme for the trainees of the Directorate of Industries undergoing skill development training courses in various trades from Sept. 12 to 26, 2022. Altogether 46 students participated.
The two week Entrepreneurship Development Training program which is organized every year as a mandatory part of the curriculum of one year Skill Development Training, was focused upon various aspects of entrepreneurship development including exposure of the candidates to various schemes implemented by the Government Departments, Banks as well as motivating them in setting up of self-employment ventures and at the same time explaining them about the current market trends.
The valedictory function was held on 26th September 2022 at the Conference Hall of State Bank of India, Mohanpura. Mr. Abhishek Bhukal, Director of Industries, Andaman and Nicobar Administration graced the occasion as Chief Guest, in the presence of Mr. Ummer Farooq, Lead District Manager, SBI, Mr. Subhasish Bagchi, Deputy Director, Directorate of Industries and Mr. Prabhu Yadav, Director-RSETI.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Industries congratulated the participants on successful completion of the training and advised them to make the best use of the skills and knowledge that was imparted and to apply the skils in an innovative manner for upliftment of their livelihood and to boost the economy of the Islands. The other delegates motivated the participants towards self-employment and wished them success in their ventures.
The successful candidates were awarded with certificates and the programme concluded with vote of thanks by Director, RSETI.
