The Directorate of Industries recently conducted an awareness programme on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013, at its Conference Hall for employees from the Industries Department, District Industries Centre (DIC) and the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).

Mr. Atul Soni, Director of Industries, attended the session and encouraged all officials and staff to familiarize themselves with the provisions of the Act to ensure a safe, respectful and harassment-free work culture, especially for women employees.

The session was led by Ms. Rubina Khatib Siddiqui, POSH Trainer and Consultant, who provided an in-depth and interactive presentation on the objectives, procedures and responsibilities outlined under the Act. She highlighted the significance of sensitivity, awareness and accountability at every level within an organization to prevent incidents of sexual harassment.

The programme also included open discussions where participants shared experiences and clarified doubts, making the session informative, participatory and impactful. (Story Based on PR)
