Directorate of Industries, A & N Administration organized a short term Skill Development Training Program on ‘Handicrafts (Coconut Shell & Wood) products’ at Gram Panchayat Mithakhari from 15th March 2023. Altogether, 22 candidates participated in the training program and were imparted basic skills and knowledge of making handicrafts, thus creating self-employment opportunities and avenues for their livelihood.
The training programme concluded on 10th April 2023. A valedictory function was organised followed by an awareness programme. Officials of the Directorate of Industries disseminated information on various schemes being implemented by the Directorate.
The handicraft products produced during the training was showcased which received immense appreciation from PRI Members and local villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohammed Safiq, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Mithakhari appreciated the efforts of Industries Department and all the participants for producing variety of handicraft products and advised them to apply the skills obtained during the training program for the betterment of their livelihood.
