As part of the ongoing Special Campaign 4.0 aimed at institutionalising Swachhata (cleanliness) and addressing pending references in government offices from October 2 to 31, 2024, approximately 20 sites and offices across the Andaman and Nicobar (A&N) Islands have been earmarked for cleaning by the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing of the A&N Administration.
In alignment with the campaign’s objectives, the Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration, located at Sri Vijaya Puram, enthusiastically joined the cleanliness drive. Officers and staff, led by the Assistant Director of the Directorate, actively participated in cleaning activities both inside the Directorate’s office and in its surrounding areas.
The Special Campaign 4.0 emphasises the importance of cleanliness and aims to ensure a clutter-free, hygienic environment across government establishments. The initiative also focuses on the timely disposal of pending files and other administrative tasks, ensuring smoother operations.
This effort by the Directorate of Disaster Management reflects the A&N Administration’s commitment to the larger goals of the campaign, reinforcing the importance of maintaining cleanliness and addressing administrative backlogs in a timely and efficient manner.
The cleanliness drive will continue throughout the month, with other government offices and identified locations across the islands also expected to participate actively.
