Under the determined leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dilkhush Meena, IAS, the District Administration of North & Middle Andaman is steadfast in its campaign to eliminate illegal encroachments on public and government lands.
In a recent operation, revenue officials targeted unauthorised encroachments in Laxmipur village, Diglipur. The team successfully cleared encroachments consisting of areca nut, banana, lemon, and coconut trees. Additionally, they dismantled a 200-square-meter hut at Harinagar village in Mayabunder Tehsil. In total, approximately 5,000 square meters of government land have been reclaimed.
District Administartion is conducting the eviction drives as part of a continuous strategy to safeguard public lands from illegal occupation. District Administration is committed to ensuring that government lands are preserved for their rightful use. The teams deputed will continue these operations regularly to prevent any encroachment on Govt. Land.
The ongoing drive highlights the administration’s resolve to uphold the law and protect government property from illegal exploitation, ensuring that such lands are available for public use and development.
