District Administration of North and Middle Andaman, led by Deputy Commissioner Dilkhush Meena, IAS, has intensified its efforts to combat illegal encroachments on public and government lands. Revenue officials have been actively involved in the removal of such encroachments across the district.
In a recent operation at Sitanagar village, Diglipur, officials evicted unauthorised arecanut and banana plantations along with a roadside tea stall at Naveen Nagar. The team, comprising the Revenue Inspector (RI), Patwari, and other revenue field staff from Diglipur tehsil, successfully reclaimed approximately 11,060 square meters of government revenue land.
Deputy Commissioner Meena emphasised that similar eviction drives will continue regularly throughout the district to prevent future encroachments on government land.
District Administration’s proactive measures underscore its commitment to maintaining the integrity of public lands and ensuring their lawful use.
