As part of its ongoing outreach initiative, the District Administration recently took a significant step towards digital governance in Little Andaman. Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Additional District Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate, South Andaman, visited the island to inaugurate an e-Patwarkhana at the Patwari Office in Ramkrishna Pur Village.
The inauguration was held in the presence of Mr. Firoj Alam, SDPO Swaraj Dweep, Pramukh of the Panchayat Samiti Little Andaman, and the Tehsildar of Little Andaman. The newly established facility is equipped with modern IT infrastructure designed to enable online delivery of land and revenue services, streamlining processes for residents.
Additionally, an e-Corner has been set up to provide easy access to various citizen-centric online services for the people of Ramkrishna Pur and surrounding areas. During the launch, digitally certified documents were issued and handed over to applicants, marking a key milestone in the digitization of public services in the region.
This initiative reflects the Administration’s strong commitment to “Digital Governance at the Doorstep,” aimed at promoting inclusive, efficient, and transparent service delivery for the residents of Little Andaman.
