In a bid to provide efficient and cost-free services to the general public, Mr. Ankit Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of North & Middle Andaman, inaugurated the e-Corner of District Administration on January 19, 2024. The inauguration took place during a simple function held at the Office of Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, Mayabunder.
The event witnessed the presence of PRI Members, local government officials, and members of the general public. Deputy Commissioner Ankit Yadav officiated the inauguration and, on this occasion, facilitated the distribution of on-the-spot online certificates, including Senior Citizen Certificates and Local Certificates, to citizens who had applied for these services through the newly established e-Corner.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ankit Yadav underscored the significance of e-Service Delivery Centres, emphasizing their role in simplifying the process of availing government services and improving the efficiency of service delivery. The e-Corner Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring that applications submitted through the single-window platform are complete, minimizing the chances of rejection due to incomplete documentation. Mr. Yadav also mentioned that the service delivery at this center would be regularly reviewed and improved based on feedback from citizens.
Encouraging citizens to take advantage of this initiative, Mr. Yadav announced plans to establish similar e-Corners in Diglipur and Rangat Tehsil in the near future. The newly launched e-Corner in North & Middle Andaman District will offer services such as Economically Weaker Section Certificates, Income Certificates, Sale Permissions, Local Certificates, OBC Certificates, Senior Citizen Certificates, and more.
The e-Corner will operate on all working days during office hours (8:30 am to 5 pm). Additionally, these services are accessible at all Common Service Centres within the district, and citizens may also avail themselves of the services through the e-District portal at https://esdistrict.andaman.gov.in.
