In a determined effort to protect government land from unauthorized encroachments, the District Administration of South Andaman recently carried out a major eviction drive in Hutbay village, successfully reclaiming approximately 1800 square meters of revenue land.
The drive targeted encroachments on government land, restoring the reclaimed area to its original condition. The initiative was part of the administration’s ongoing mission to prevent the misuse of public resources and ensure their protection.
The District Administration reiterated its firm stance against encroachments, assuring that strict action will continue to be taken in accordance with established laws. Citizens are being urged to support these efforts by reporting instances of unauthorized occupation.
To facilitate public participation, the administration has provided multiple channels for lodging complaints or sharing information related to encroachments. Residents can contact the District Control Room at 03192-240127, 03192-238881, 1070, or through WhatsApp at 9531888844.
