The District Administration of South Andaman ensuring zero tolerance towards encroachment on Govt. land, carried out an encroachment eviction drive on the 3rd and 4th of January 2023 at Ferrargunj Tehsil. In Ferrargunj Tehsil, fresh encroachment committed in the shape of fencing was removed at Bambooflat village and an area of 1800 sq meters has been restored. Similarly, the encroachment committed at Nayashar village in the shape of temporary structures and fencing measuring an area of 2000 sq. meters was removed and restored into Govt. Khata.
