District Administration South Andaman to Organise Series of General and Lung Health Awareness-cum-Screening Camps in South Andaman

The District Administration South Andaman, through its District Health Society (South Andaman), in coordination with the Directorate of Health Services, RMRC-ICMR, and the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, will be organising a series of General and Lung Health Awareness-cum-Screening Camps across different locations in South Andaman.

These camps aim to create awareness about lung and general health, enable early screening for respiratory ailments, and facilitate the generation of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) and AB-PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) cards.

The first camp will be held on 26th July 2025 at the Community Hall in Prothrapur, covering Ward Nos. 19 and 23. The second camp is scheduled for 29th July 2025 at Kaithan Kalyana Mandapam, Junglighat, for Ward No. 6. On 2nd August 2025, the camp will be organised at the Community Hall in Haddo for Ward No. 1. The next camp will take place on 4th August 2025 at the Community Hall in Atlanta Point for Ward No. 5. This will be followed by a camp on 5th August 2025 at the Community Hall in School Line, covering Ward Nos. 15 and 16. The final camp in the series is scheduled for 9th August 2025 at the Community Hall in Dairy Farm, also for Ward No. 15.

To facilitate the creation of ABHA and AB-PMJAY cards, attendees are requested to carry their Aadhaar Card or Driving License along with their Ration Card for verification.

The District Administration urges all eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity to improve their health awareness and access essential government health services.
