District Administration South Andaman Withdraws E-Pass Issued on or after 25th May 2021

E-Passes issued by the District Administration South Andaman on or after 25/05/2021 has been withdrawn. 

District Administration has taken the decision to withdraw the E-Passes because many persons were misusing the e-passes and were found roaming unnecessarily on roads.

E-Pass website has been modified and launched once again on 01st June 2021 in order to ensure bare minimum movement of public, to prevent misuse of already issued e-passes and to counter fake passes.

Those who were issued e-passes earlier do not have to reapply. Based on the current necessity and requirement new e-pass will be issued with the same application ID or will be rejected.

Those who do not have e-pass will have to apply afresh.

The District Administration has also formed various teams for strict checking of e-passes and vehicles allowed in the permit, as well as the purpose for which e-pass has been granted.

General Public has been cautioned not to indulge in misuse of the e-pass, else strict action as deemed fit under relevant sections of Disaster Management Act, 2005 will be taken against the defaulter, which will further result in seizure of the vehicle and also the premises for which e-pass has been granted.
