A District-Level Workshop on the dissemination of PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 results and implementation of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) was held at the Conference Hall of the Education Office, Car Nicobar, on October 6, 2025. The event marked an important stride towards improving educational outcomes in the Nicobar District.

The Principal of the State Institute of Education (SIE) graced the occasion as the chief guest and stressed the need to identify root causes in areas requiring urgent academic intervention. He urged teachers to adopt data-driven strategies to bring about meaningful transformation in classroom practices, with a special emphasis on strengthening Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills among students.

Dr. Bency Joy, Faculty, SIE, conducted comprehensive workshop sessions that provided an in-depth analysis of the PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 findings, focusing on the educational landscape of Nicobar District. The day-long workshop saw the participation of 40 master trainers, who will lead the rollout of HPC implementation initiatives across district schools.

The workshop also detailed the multi-dimensional framework of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) system, designed to capture student development across all educational stages — from Balvatika (pre-primary) to Grade XII — ensuring a more comprehensive and learner-centered evaluation process.

Earlier, Mr. Jacob, Education Officer, Car Nicobar, welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the day’s proceedings.
