The Block Project Office, Little Andaman, under Samagra Shiksha, successfully organized the Divya Kala Mela and Divya Kala Shakti programme on November 21, 2025, providing a vibrant platform for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) to showcase their talent and creativity.
The event highlighted artistic abilities, cultural performances, and skill-based exhibitions by students, promoting awareness, inclusion, and empowerment. A series of activities including music, theatre, visual arts, storytelling, yoga, poetry, and disability sensitization games formed the core of the programme.
Mr. Prabhash Roy, Block Project Officer, Little Andaman, and Mrs. Nirmala Jaya Kodi, HM (P), PM SHRI GMSSS Hutbay, attended the programme and appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers. They applauded the performances and encouraged the students for their active participation.
Teachers and staff, including Mr. Shasanka Das, PGT, extended support to the initiative and contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
Adding to the experience, food stalls serving local delicacies and displays of assistive devices were arranged for visitors, receiving an enthusiastic response.
Organizers were widely appreciated for creating an inclusive platform that celebrates ability and fosters equal opportunity. Stakeholders expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue to encourage accessibility and empower learners with diverse needs.
