DPR Preparation for Chatham-Bambooflat Bridge Paced Up Says NHIDCL

National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. in response to a grievance filed on CPGRAMS by Mr. Raj Prasad, a member of Bharatiya Janata Party has informed him through a letter that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a bridge between Chatham and Bambooflat is under preparation.

NHIDCL has further added that the proposed bridge location is of strategic importance, Indian Navy after considering and taking account of all the constraints and possible solutions, has recently issued the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the construction of the Bridge.

NHIDCL further added that the COVID-19 pandemic has also affected the progress of DPR preparation.

NHIDCL concluded by informing that the DPR preparation has been paced up immediately after receiving NoC from the Indian Navy and that NHIDCL is making all efforts to finalise the DPR for necessary sanction from MoRTH.
