The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), A&N Administration, has released the draft Guidelines for Operations of All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, aimed at ensuring regulated, safe, and environmentally sustainable ATV activities across the archipelago.

To encourage transparency and stakeholder participation, the draft guidelines have been placed in the public domain for suggestions, comments, and inputs from residents, tourism operators, and concerned departments. The document is available on the official website of the Directorate of IP&T.

Members of the public can submit their feedback within 15 days — on or before December 5, 2025. Inputs deemed relevant and constructive will be incorporated into the final guidelines. Feedback must be submitted in the prescribed format provided by the Directorate.

The initiative seeks to streamline ATV operations while prioritizing safety, environmental protection, and responsible tourism practices in the Islands.
