M/s Probe Social Development & Research Pvt. Ltd., Delhi has submitted the Draft Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Report for the Green Field International Airport project in Great Nicobar. The project spans an area of 404.8194 hectares.
The draft SIA report is now available for public review at the Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, the Office of the Assistant Commissioner in Campbell Bay, and the Office of the Pradhan in Laxmi Nagar, Campbell Bay.
All concerned stakeholders are invited to submit their comments or objections in writing to the Social Welfare Department, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, by June 18, 2024, at 5 p.m. Alternatively, comments can be emailed to directorsw4@gmail.com within the specified timeframe.
To ensure comprehensive community involvement, the Social Welfare Department will conduct a public hearing on June 22, 2024. The hearing will take place at 11 a.m. at the Gandhi Nagar Community Hall, Campbell Bay, and at 3 p.m. at Shastri Nagar, Campbell Bay. Stakeholders are urged to attend the public hearing at the designated times and locations.
This initiative aims to gather valuable feedback from the community to ensure the project’s alignment with local needs and concerns.
