District Police N & M Andaman has been conducting regular raids in the district. Based on an intelligence input a known dealer of Ganja in Diglipur was apprehended red-handed with some quantity of Ganja, while he was selling it to a person.
On detailed interrogation, a total of 2.1 Kg Ganja was recovered from his hidden store house. A case has been registered under NDPS Act at PS Diglipur.
The entire trap was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Manasvi Vashistha, DANIPS, SDPO/Diglipur, and overall direction and supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
The general public has been requested to pass and share any credible information pertaining to any crime or illegal activities to their nearest police station or on phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273344. Police informed that the identity of the informers would be kept secret and they will also be suitably rewarded.
