In light of increased passenger traffic in the Inter-Island Sector, the Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) has announced the deployment of additional ship service to facilitate commuters traveling to Campbell Bay and Nancowry.
According to an official communication, the vessel Nalanda will sail from Haddo Wharf to Campbell Bay via Nancowry on June 22, 2025, at 1400 hrs. The return journey to Sri Vijaya Puram is scheduled to depart directly from Campbell Bay on June 23, 2025, at 2000 hrs.
Passenger tickets for this special sailing will be available to the general public today (21 June 2025). Bookings can be made through the DSS e-ticketing portal https://dss.andaman.gov.in/eticketing or at the STARS Ticketing Counter between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
The initiative is aimed at addressing the travel demand and ensuring smooth transit for inter-island passengers.
