The Department of Science & Technology (DST), A&N Administration, Dollygunj, commemorated Earth Day 2025 on 21st April 2025, with an engaging educational excursion under the global theme “Our Power, Our Planet.”
As part of the celebration, DST organized a trekking expedition for 81 students from Government Senior Secondary School, Bathubasti, Sri Vijaya Puram. The students embarked on a trek from Munda Pahad Beach to the Munda Pahad Hilltop, immersing themselves in the natural beauty and ecological significance of the region.
Along the trail, students were introduced to the unique flora of the hill, enhancing their awareness of the local biodiversity. Upon reaching the summit, an interactive awareness session was conducted by Mr. V. Satyanarayana, Librarian at DST. He emphasized the vital role of Planet Earth in sustaining life and encouraged students to reflect on their responsibilities toward environmental conservation.
The session saw enthusiastic participation, with students actively sharing their thoughts and ideas on protecting the planet, reaffirming their commitment to a sustainable future.
