ECI Bans Use of Cameras/Cell Phones/Cordless/Wireless Phones in Polling Stations, Urges Voters for Cooperation

In an effort to uphold the sanctity and confidentiality of the voting process, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has imposed stringent regulations prohibiting the use of cellular, cordless, and wireless phone sets within polling stations and their 100-meter perimeter. This directive aims to ensure the integrity of the electoral process during the upcoming polling in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency scheduled for April 19, 2024.

With the date of the poll swiftly approaching, the ECI has urged voters in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency to refrain from carrying such gadgets to the polling stations.
