During a routine patrol in Rajiv Nagar, Kadamtala, police officers HC/607 Pradeep Das and PC/2385 Meena Kumari Ekka discovered an elderly woman in distress. The woman, who appeared unwell, was wandering helplessly in the area.
Upon speaking with her, the officers learned that she was a resident of Bakultala and had mistakenly boarded a bus from Bakultala to Port Blair. She had inadvertently disembarked at Rajiv Nagar, Kadamtala. Recognizing her vulnerable state, the officers immediately provided assistance and transported her to PHC Kadamtala, where she received necessary medical treatment and care.
The police communicated the incident to the woman’s daughter, who resides in Bakultala. The following day, July 16, her daughter arrived at the Kadamtala police station. After a thorough enquiry, the elderly woman was safely reunited with her family.
