The Election Commission of India has appointed Mr. Satyajit Mandal, IRS, as the Expenditure Observer for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency ahead of the General Elections 2024.
Mr. Mandal, equipped with his expertise in financial matters, will play a crucial role in monitoring the election expenditure in the constituency.
According to the official announcement, Mr. Mandal will be available for interactions with the general public and to address any queries related to election expenditure. He will be stationed at the South Point Circuit House, specifically in Room No. 102, during his visit.
His availability for public interaction is scheduled between 10 am and 11 am, starting from the 20th of March 2024 until the 23rd of March 2024. Following this, Mr. Mandal will make a second visit from the 25th of March 2024 to the 18th of April 2024.
This appointment comes as part of the Election Commission’s efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in the electoral process, especially concerning financial matters. With Mr. Mandal’s oversight, the Election Commission aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process in Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency.
